McCaskill solicits questions for McChrystal from Twitter followers
Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-Mo.), arguably the Senate's top Twitter users, on Monday used her account to gather questions for her to ask Gen. Stanley McChrystal on Tuesday.
McChrystal, the top U.S. general in Afghanistan, is set to testify before the Senate Armed Services Committe, on which McCaskill sits, on Tuesday.
She tweeted:
Please suggest questions for me to ask Gen. McChrystal in tomorrow’s hearing: http://bit.ly/71CsEr, or send them @ me & include #mcchrystal
McCaskill directs users to post them to her Facebook account or to send them as replies to her message on Twitter.
Here is a question from one of her constituents in Kansas City (via Facebook):
Ask General McChrystal, if the delay in the President decision in troop level will be a set back in defeating the Taliban and helping standing up the Afgan Government? or What else does he need to suceed?
So far, 10 people have posted to her Facebook account. It is not clear how many people have submitted questions on Twitter.
