

McCain: U.S. military doing 'everything possible' to return captured soldier
Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) on Saturday said that the military is "doing everything possible" to bring home a soldier captured in Afghanistan over the summer.
A video was released by the Taliban on Christmas Day showing 23-year-old Pfc. Bowe Bergdahl denouncing the U.S. military in a statement read off a sheet of paper. The video is the second to be released after Bergdahl, an Idaho native, was captured about six months ago.
McCain, who is the top Republican on the Senate Armed Services Committee, took to Twitter, saying:
I saw the video of the captured American Soldier in Afghanistan - I know our military is doing everything possible to bring him home safe.
After the video was released, the soldier's family issued a released urging his released and telling him to "stay strong."
The Arizona senator spent five and a half years as a prisoner of war during the Vietnam War.
