Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa) on Wednesday reminded people with a colorful anecdote that D.C. wasn't the only area in the country to get hit hard by snow this week.

Tweeting from Iowa, King, who referred to himseld using the military-like nickname "Desert Eagle," said that he had to hunt down a raccoon that sneaked into his house after a snowstorm in Iowa:

Mid day, mid blizzard, 15 degrees, Crazy Raccoon chewing and clawing his way into my house. Desert Eagle 1, Crazy Raccoon zero.

The Republican lawmaker has been in the Hawkeye State since Friday and it is unclear when he will return to D.C., according to his spokesman.
