Obama hams it up with Rove, Romney books

After his healthcare rally in Iowa Thursday, President Barack Obama jokingly picked up copies of books written by two political rivals, which subsequently started a Twitter battle between both sides.

Obama stopped at a book store and grabbed copies of books written by former Bush Deputy Chief of Staff Karl Rove and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney (R), his potential opponent in 2012.

White House Deputy Press Secretary Bill Burton tweeted after the stop:

Even at the bookstore, POTUS reaches across the aisle… http://bit.ly/9p2PZA

Romney's official Twitter account later responded to the crack:

Mr. President, I think you should read both. http://tinyurl.com/ylqul3l

And Rove piled on:

RT @Mittromney Mr. President, I think you should read both. http://tinyurl.com/ylqul3l #TCOT
