Members of the House of Representatives participated in a marathon-style reading of the Constitution on Tuesday morning, the second time the document has been read in full on the House Floor. Many members on Tuesday shared their pride in participating, but the
event did draw some criticism from Rep. Steve Cohen (D-Tenn.), who
slammed House Republicans for taking time to read the Constitution but
not “to understand privacy rights, limits [to the Second Amendment, and]
that [corporations are] not people.”

Rep. Jim Himes (D-Conn.) is ready to issue a new Twitter challenge to his fellow Connecticut representatives. Himes commented late Monday that Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) has finally succeeded in passing Himes's follower count on Twitter, though just barely, with 8,323 compared to 8,315.

The movie “The Invisible War” was nominated for an Academy Award in the category of Documentary Feature, and Reps. Louise Slaughter (D-N.Y.) and Niki Tsongas (D-Mass.) took to Twitter to congratulate filmmakers on raising awareness on the subject of military rape.
