Rep. Randy Neugebauer (R-Texas) appeared to recommend a program to lose weight in a tweet sent through his official Twitter account on Tuesday night.

But Neugebauer is definitely "not recommending any weight loss systems,” according to a spokeswoman who talked to the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal on Wednesday.

Beyonce earned rave reviews for her performance of the national anthem during President Obama's inauguration on Monday, but controversy followed on Tuesday when the singer was accused of lip-syncing the track. 

Republicans and Democrats were tweeting at cross purposes on Tuesday for the 40th anniversary of Roe v. Wade. 

According to new analysis of tweets sent on Inauguration Day, just 4 percent of tweets sent were negative or "not interested" in events.

The White House shared a "surprise" on Tuesday when first lady Michelle Obama tweeted a warning that she and the president were going to greet a tour at the White House.
