Colbert leaves Iraq a 'decorated' veteran

Comedy Central's Stephen Colbert taped a week's worth of shows (airing this week) from Iraq recently, and now that he's left the center of Middle Eastern conflict, he's tweeting about it.

We've seen Colbert interact with some of the biggest figures in the military during this week's episodes, including Gen. Ray Odierno -- who shaved Colbert's head at the orders of President Obama.

The ever-confident comedian now is talking (er, joking) about just what he learned about the different medals of valor available to those in the Army. He tweeted Wednesday:
learned about obscure army medals: pink hearts, yellow moons, orange stars, green clovers. you get them for capturing enemy leprechauns
