Per several journalists' wandering eyes, today's East Room announcement of Judge Sonia Sotomayor's nomination to the Supreme Court brought several interesting personalities to the audience.

Time Magazine's Karen Tumulty spotted Solicitor General Elana Kagan -- a rumored frontrunner for the nomination -- in the front row of the audience, tweeting:
is that elena kagan in the front row? classy.

Meanwhile, Mark Knoller of CBS News reported that all of President Obama's top aides are present at this morning's announcement, tweeting:
All Obama's top aides are now in the East Room including Rahm Emanual and David Axelrod.
