Specter will 'Meet the Press' this Sunday

Newly-minted Democratic Sen. Arlen Specter will do his first long-form interview when he appears this Sunday on NBC's "Meet the Press."
Both host David Gregory and the show's producer, Betsy Fischer, verified the appearance in back-to-back tweets Wednesday.

The broadcast will be the first time Specter will have been pressed on his bolt to the Democratic Party after having answered some questions at a press conference Tuesday afternoon.
