CDC tweeting swine flu responses

By Michael O'Brien - 04/27/09 08:53 AM ET
The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) is taking advantage of Twitter to stay ahead of the spread of swine flu.

The lead government agency on epidemics like the emergent influenza strain, the CDC is providing real-time updates on swine flu and other public health issues at Twitter.com/CDCEmergency.

The latest tweets from the CDC include everything from updates on the latest press conferences to recommendations for antiviral drugs to treat those afflicted by the flu strain.

Also on the flu front, Sen. Mark Warner's (D-Va.) staff tweeted Monday that they'd created a swine flu resource center on the outbreak.
