Pingree anticipates visit from 'impressive' Obama

By Michael O'Brien - 03/30/09 12:28 PM ET
President Obama is set to meet with congressional Democrats Monday evening behind closed doors, and at least one lawmaker is registering her excitement.

Rep. Chellie Pingree (D-Maine) called Obama's visit to the Capitol "impressive," checking in early Monday evening from her iPhone.

She tweeted:
Waiting for the President to come and address our caucus. I think it is impressive that he comes to the Capitol to see us, plenty to discuss

On the agenda will be a number of high-profile issues having to be handled by the president and Congress this week, including resolution of the budget for this year, and handling of the troubled state of General Motors (GM) and Chrysler.
