MSNBC anchor mulls buying American after GM annoucement

By Michael O'Brien - 03/30/09 07:44 AM ET
In the midst of troubling news for General Motors and Chrysler on Monday about their restructuring plans, one MSNBC anchor has a solution.

Contessa Brewer tweeted that a fellow anchor, Tamron Hall, had teased Brewer about her old car. But after today's news that GM and Chrysler were deemed unviable by the administration, Brewer's thinking about buying American:
Maybe with new tax incentives, I should think about replacing my old bucket with a GM.

Hall tweeted later that she does not have a car because she lives in New York City, but asked her followers:
what's the best american made car past or present
