Rep. Jackie Speier is having a busy Wednesday. The California Democrat is sandwiching her first reddit Q&A between afternoon votes.

According to a picture tweeted from her official account, Speier is answering questions on a reddit AMA (“Ask me anything”) on a tablet outside the House chamber.

Ben Affleck hit Capitol Hill on Wednesday, and several lawmakers hit Twitter with the news that they met the actor.

A GOP lawmaker wants to make sure his birthday isn't forgotten by leadership. 

Rep. Todd Rokita (R-Ind.) on Wednesday reminded GOP Whip Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) of his birth date on Twitter, along with the not-so-subtle hashtag #justsaying.

Rep. Ed Markey (D-Mass.) is raising concerns about privacy on Instagram this week, following a day of online protests to the photo-sharing service's updated terms of use agreement.

He tweeted Tuesday night:

The National Rifle Association is back on social media Tuesday, after falling silent since last Friday's school shooting.

The spokesmen for the White House and the House Speaker got a little personal on Twitter discussing latest negotiations over the "fiscal cliff" on Tuesday.

The Republican National Committee's top spokesman on Tuesday joked that if the world is ending Friday, he might as well wait until Saturday to do his Christmas shopping.

Rep. Steve Israel (D-N.Y.) tweeted a cartoon comparison for ongoing "fiscal cliff" negotiations on Tuesday.

The chairman of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee said House Speaker John Boehner's (R-Ohio) new offer to avoid the so-called "cliff" reminds him of a classic, if repetitive, Warner Brothers cartoon.

Rep. Dave Camp's (R-Mich.) colleagues greeted news on Tuesday that he is cancer-free as an early Christmas gift.

"We continue praying for all those affected by cancer," House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) said in a tweet celebrating the good news. Many other Republicans also tweeted that they were happy to hear Camp's report.
