Members of Congress cheered as Washington Nationals left fielder Bryce Harper became the youngest Major League Baseball player to hit two home runs in his team's first game of the season.

While the White House insists it isn't concerned by recent polling showing the president's approval rating dipping, former Obama campaign manager David Plouffe lashed out at polling firm Gallup on Twitter Thursday.

During the 2012 presidential campaign, the polling firm consistently showed Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney either in the lead or performing better than he had other national polls. At the time, the Obama campaign questioned the firm's methodology, a complaint validated by the president's commanding win in November.
