TNR's Jonathan Cohn and the Washington Post's Ezra Klein appeared on MSNBC this morning to talk up healthcare reform.
From their recent tweets, it's clear they not only have much the same thoughts on healthcare, but also have similar thoughts ABOUT having the same thoughts on healthcare.
Jonathan Cohn:
jcohntnr Appeared on msnbc with @ezraklein. Ezra and I are like an old married couple. We can finish each other's sentences. #healthreform
Well, it seems as though they can finish each other's tweets as well. Here's what Klein tweeted a whole 3 minutes later:
ezraklein The funny thing about doing TV with @jcohntnr is I can talk without moving my mouth.
I'll try to track down video to see if their mindmeld was as obvious on camera as in the Twittersphere.

Yet another consequence of South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford's (R) extramarital affair; the subject matter of this evening's cable news shows.
Rep. Jared Polis (D-Colo.) tweeted:
I got bumped from Hardball tonight because Gov Sanford had an affair with a woman in Argentina
Washington Times blogger Amanda Carpenter and conservative blogger Michelle Malkin also made similar tweets.
Here's a parlor game to play at happy hour: will the Sanford scandal take media attention away from the protests in Iran? If so, for how long? Discuss...

Much has been written how former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney appears to be wisely positioning himself for a 2012 run by keeping his nose clean and selectively interjecting himself into the national debate.
That theory, of course, got another boost on Wednesday when South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford (R) admitted an extramarital affair just more than week after Sen. John Ensign's (R-Nev.) similar admission.
And now it appears that Romney, who struggled to woo conservatives last year mostly because the evangelical right was skeptical of his Mormonism, may be the conservative choice for 2012, almost by default.
As Lisa De Pasquale, the director of the Conservative Political Acton Conference, just tweeted:
Mitt Romney = Best Week Ever?

ABC newsman George Stephanopoulos's second-ever Twitterview has concluded, and Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) has called on Rep. Charles Rangel (D-N.Y.) to resign from his leadership post.
While Issa tweeted candidly about the Countrywide loan scandal, he dodged a question posed by Stephanopoulos regarding Republican "fallout" in the wake of the Ensign and Sanford sex scandals.
On the Countrywide home loan scandal:
@darrellIssa Think he's just resigning RGA, not governorship. You really think Rangel, Murtha and Dodd should resign?
@GStephanopoulos i certainly think there known failures in ethics and in the case of rangel - failure to adhere to tax law he now creates...
@GStephanopoulos ...stepping down from leadership were always the first calls that speaker pelosi made and now ignores
@GStephanopoulos don't you believe that one country, one congress and one standard should be the rule?
@GStephanopoulos he's been making for decades - so my answer is yes. But he should only step down if there is an ongoing process by spkr
@GStephanopoulos he has the confidence of speaker and it is that confidence that has me not having confidence in the speaker
Issa clearly stated that he believes Rangel should step down as chairman of the powerful House Ways and Means Committee. He also expressed some doubt in House Speaker Rep. Nancy Pelosi's willingness to do so. Issa, however, did not say if Sens. John Murtha (D-Pa.) or Chris Dodd (D-Conn.) should abandon their leadership posts.
In contrast with Issa's straightforward answers regarding Rangel, he did not Stephanopoulos's question on the GOP's future:
@darrellIssa Riveting and sad. Are you concerned in wake of Ensign story about fallout for your party?
Yesterday, Stephanopoulos seemed to indicate that he would "Twitterview" would focus on the stimulus and the war in Afghanistan. Instead, the questions keyed in on Issa's leadership role on the Countrywide investigation and the fast developing Mark Sanford story.

George Stephanopoulos asked Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) about the Mark Sanford's affair during their "Twitterview," which is airing simultaneously with Gov. Sanford's press conference. Issa linked Mark Sanford's admission of an extramarital affair back to the Countrywide scandal.
Here this the exchange over Twitter:
@darrellIssa "tip of the iceberg?" we'll be watching are you watching your former colleague Mark Sanford? What do you think?
@GStephanopoulos - as you can see - the gov is immediately resigning over his misconduct - will rangel, murtha and dodd do the same?

ABC Chief Washington Correspondent George Stephanopoulos opened this afternoon's "Twitterview" with California Rep. Darrell Issa (R).
He tweeted:
@darrellIssa Hey Congressman tks for doing this. What's the latest on your Countrywide investigation?
The House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, which Issa chairs, is investigating Countrywide Financial on accusations that the company provided discounted home loans to elected officials. Issa, who wants broader authority to subpoena lawmakers, tweeted before the "Twitterview:"
Speaking to Chamber - We're not getting a subpoena because D's don't want to out D's who got sweetheart deals ala Chris Dodd.
Stay tuned to the Twitter Room for full coverage of this afternoon's "Twitterview."

Former Senator and 2008 presidential candidate Fred Thompson (R-Tenn.) has endorsed Rob Simmons (R-Conn.) for Senate.
Simmons tweeted:
Honored to be endorsed by @fredthompson today: http://tr.im/pBKG
The link directs to Simmons's official press release announcing the endorsement. Connecticut Republicans will choose between Simmons, former ambassador Tom Foley, and state Sen. Sam Caligiuri to face Sen. Chris Dodd (D) in 2010. Throughout his campaign, Simmons has utilized Twitter to aggressively promote fundraising. A typical Simmons tweet reads like:
Less than $1000 from our $60k goal to help retire Chris Dodd: http://tr.im/p4cE #flocktorob
Note that Simmons created his own trending topic "#flocktorob"
Last week, Twitter Room reported that the last poll conducted on the race showed Simmons leading Dodd by 16 points.
