Former astronaut and Sen. Bill Nelson (D-Fla.) was pleased with what President Obama told him Wednesday about the future of the space program, and took to Twitter to share the message.

Nelson tweeted:

After having headed to Virginia yesterday with Vice President Biden to Ray's Hell Burger, President Obama -- or at least one of his lunch companions -- had burgers on the brain for a second straight day.

Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), who had lunch with Obama and Senate Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus (D-Mont.) this afternoon, relayed the following tweet after leaving the White House:

Just had a hamburger w obama at WH. Hour lunch discussing health care reform and four Ag/EPA issues

There's no immediate indication what President Obama had for lunch, but the first 100+ days of the Obama administration have shown burgers seem to be the du jour menu item for power lunches.

Rep. Zach Wamp (R-Tenn.) is inspired by redneck women, the Republican candidate for governor tweeted Wednesday.

Wamp had met with country singer Gretchen Wilson, the singer of the song "Redneck Woman," after which Wamp tweeted the following:

Gretchen Wilson is an inspiration ! She got her GED as an adult and now advocates for Adult Education and the importance of literacy.

This isn't Wilson's first association with a Republican, however. Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) raised eyebrows when she danced along to "Redneck Woman" while campaigning for the vice presidency.



Wilson completed her GED in 2007 at the age of 33.

Cindy McCain, the wife of Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), cataloged her battle this morning against a migraine, putting it on Twitter for the world to experience.

McCain sent out a series of tweets detailing her battle against a migraine, culminating in an observation we have to imagine is no doubt the result of spending the morning on the couch.

McCain tweeted last night:

Suffering a migraine today. Arrgg!!

She followed up this morning in a few tweets:

Up but moving slow. Still down with a migraine. Looks like a quiet day with my puppies.

I am involved with a group of doctors working on a cure for migraines. That would be a gift from God!!

Migraines are the number 1 reason for lost work days around the world. It's time we focus on this problem.

Former Bush administration political guru neglected a chance Tuesday night to use his Texas Spanglish -- on Cinco de Mayo, no less.

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-Ga.) must have been listening to Beck's 1990s hit "Loser" this morning, judging by the tweet he posted.

Gingrich tweeted Wednesday:

According to Gingrich's site, winners under the Obama administration have included the United Auto Workers (UAW), terrorists and anti-Americans worldwide, and professional community organizers. Losers include young Americans who want to choose their own careers and anyone who heats a home or drives a car to work.

Maybe more Americans than Gingrich are listening to Beck, then.
