•AGRICULTURE. Ogilvy Government Relations is lobbying for the National Pork Producers Council, according to Senate lobbying records. Thomas Hebert of Ogilvy is registered to represent the farm group.

The Catfish Farmers of America hired Federal Solutions to lobby on “funding issues pertaining to [the] upcoming farm bill and establishment of a grading program for farm-raised fish,” according to the Senate lobbying records. Marty Fuller and Lydia Verheggen of Federal Solutions are registered to represent the trade group.

•AVIATION. The Cormac Group is lobbying for the Air Transport Association of America. John Timmons of Cormac registered to lobby for the commercial aviation trade group. He is lobbying on an issue relating to overflights of the Grand Canyon.

•ENERGY. Lion Oil Co. hired Steptoe & Johnson to lobby on issues that affect the refining industry, according to lobbying registration records. The lobbying team includes James Barnette, Leslie Belcher and John Fielding.

American Electric Power hired Sidley Austin to lobby on climate-change legislation, according to Senate lobbying records.
•ENVIRONMENT. The Consortium for Agricultural Soils Mitigation of Greenhouse Gases hired DRD Associates to lobby on climate-change legislation.

•HEALTHCARE. Medtronic, a medical-device manufacturer, hired Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld to provide “counsel on healthcare matters,” according to Senate lobbying records.

•MANUFACTURING. The Stand Up for Steel Coalition hired BKSH & Associates to lobby on issues relating to the steel industry, according to Senate lobbying records.

•RECREATION. The National Association of Boating Law Administrators hired Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal to lobby “Coast Guard maritime security programs,” according to Senate lobbying registration. John Russell, a former deputy chief of staff to Rep. Dennis Hastert (R-Ill.), is one of three Sonnenschein lobbyists registered for the trade group.

•TAXES. Intuit Inc., a software company, hired Cauthen Forbes & Williams to lobby on tax issues.

•TECHNOLOGY. The Mita Group is lobbying for the Internet Innovation Alliance, according to Senate lobbying records. The issues include “Internet architecture, growth, and regulation of video franchise regulations.”
