• AGRICULTURE. The Bryson Group is lobbying for Hormel Food Corp . on food safety legislation. Nancy Bryson, a former general counsel at the Department of Agriculture, is lobbying for Hormel, lobbying records show.

• DEFENSE. The Livingston Group is lobbying for EADS North America on defense appropriations and authorization bills and on the ongoing fight over the Air Force’s decision to award an important refueling tanker contract to EADS and Northrop Grumman .

• HEALTHCARE. Baker Donelson Bearman Caldwell & Berkowitz is lobbying for the HIT Now! Coalition. Former Rep. Nancy Johnson (R-Conn.), now at Baker Donelson, is lobbying “in support of legislation to fund and implement health information technology,” lobbying records show.

• IMMIGRATION. The National Immigration Forum hired the American Continental Group and lobbyists Carlyle Thorsen and Joshua Fay-Hurvitz to lobby on immigration reform, lobbying records show.

• RENEWABLES. The American Wind Energy Association hired Fierce, Isakowitz and Blalock to lobby on energy legislation, according to lobbying records.

• TAXES. Angus & Nickerson is lobbying for First Solar , a Phoenix company that makes photovoltaic modules. Barbara Angus, a former international tax counsel at the Treasury Department, and Gregory Nickerson, a former tax counsel at the House Ways and Means Committee, are helping First Solar lobby for the extension of solar investment tax credit and on climate change legislation.

• TELEVISION. EchoStar Satellite hired Lesher, Russell & Barron on issues related to the Satellite Home Viewer Reauthorization Act. Lobbyists working on the account include William Lesher; Randall Russell; Edward Barron, a former chief of staff on the Senate Agriculture Committee; and Tyson Redpath, who previously was a legislative assistant to House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio).

• UNIVERSITIES. The University of La Verne hired Arent Fox to lobby for federal funding. Margo Klosterman, a former legislative assistant to House GOP leader John Boehner (Ohio), and Dan Renberg, a former top aide to Sen. Arlen Specter (R-Pa.), are lobbying for the school.
