AGRICULTURE. The National Milk Producers Federation hired GovBiz Advantage to lobby on the milk promotion program and other issues, lobbying records show.

ENERGY. Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck is lobbying for Sand Ridge Energy on climate change and carbon sequestration legislation and on enhanced oil recovery, according to Senate lobbying records. Brownstein’s Jack Jacobson, C. Kyle Simpson and Sarah Thornton, a former aide to Reps. Mike McIntyre (D-N.C.) and Shelley Berkley (D-Nev.), are lobbying on behalf of the Oklahoma-based energy company.

FINANCE. Freddie Mac hired Arnold & Porter to lobby on efforts to reform how government-sponsored enterprises are regulated, lobbying records show. Former Rep. Jim Turner (D-Texas) and Matthew LaRocco, a former Interior Department official, are lobbying for Freddie Mac.

HOUSING. Powell Goldstein is lobbying for a la mode inc. , which makes real estate appraisal software and technology. The firm is lobbying in support of ìconsumer protections, including the need for independent appraisals, in the mortgage lending and home selling processes, Senate lobbying records show.

IMMIGRATION. The Center for American Progress Action Fund hired Winning Strategies Washington to lobby on a variety of issues, including a bill that would require employers to verify their workers are in the country legally, lobbying records show. Chris Schloesser, a former aide to several Democratic members of Congress, is lobbying on behalf of the fund.

INTERNATIONAL. Goldwyn International Strategies is lobbying for the U.S.-Libya Business Association on issues related to the Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act, lobbying records show.

LOCAL GOVERNMENT. Oak Lawn, Ill., hired Alcalde & Fay as it seeks federal funding for a variety of projects, according to lobbying records. James Davenport, a former staff aide to the late Rep. Gerald Solomon (R-N.Y.), and Maurice Kurland, a former staff aide to Rep. Silvestre Reyes (D-Texas), are lobbying on behalf of the town.

RENOVATION. Marlowe & Company is lobbying for federal appropriations to renovate and preserve the Edison and Ford Winter Estates in Fort Myers, Fla.

TRADE. The Consumer Electronics Association hired Catherine McCullough to lobby on free trade agreements, lobbying records show.
