• BANKING. Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck is lobbying for the Federal National Mortgage Association (Fannie Mae) on government-sponsored enterprise legislation. Ellen Chube, previously a legislative assistant to former Rep. Harold Ford Jr. (D-Tenn.), and Michael Levy, previously a senior adviser at the Treasury Department, are representing Fannie Mae.
McGuireWoods Consulting is lobbying for Freddie Mac on government-sponsored enterprise legislation.

• DEFENSE. American Defense International is lobbying for MedeSafe Holdings Limited on how to evacuate wounded contractors from Iraq.

• ENERGY. Holland & Knight is lobbying for Renaissance Lighting on legislation supporting energy efficiency and eco-friendly technology. Richard Gold, previously an assistant on environmental affairs to former Sen. Lloyd Bentsen (D-Texas), and Beth Viola, previously on the staffs of former Rep. Claudine Schneider (R-R.I.) and Rep. Jon Porter (R-Nev.), will represent Renaissance Lighting.

• FAMILY. Federal Strategy Consulting is lobbying for Darkness to Light on seeking support for a child sexual abuse prevention training program.

• FOREIGN AFFAIRS. Craig Shirley & Associates is lobbying for itself on the passage of a law protecting American publishers and authors from being sued in foreign countries, according to records filed with the Senate.

• HOUSING. Dutko Worldwide is lobbying for GVA Advantis on rebuilding areas of the Gulf destroyed by Hurricane Katrina. Michael Liu, formerly of the Agriculture Department, and J. Kent Scholars, formerly of the Office of Management and Budget, are representing GVA Advantis.

• TRADE. Barnes & Thornburg is lobbying for The Regional Answer to Canadian National on opposing the merger of the Canadian Northern Railway and the EJ&E Railroad .

King & Spalding is lobbying for the National Council of Textile Organizations on issues relating to trade with China.

Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough is lobbying for the OM Group on government affairs advocacy in relations to mining in Africa. Kevin McMahon, former counsel on the Senate Judiciary Committee, is representing the OM Group.
