• APPROPRIATIONS. Cassidy & Associates is lobbying for the National Forest Counties & Schools Coalition. Gerald Warburg, a former Democratic Senate aide; Kai Anderson, former deputy chief of staff to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.); and Christine O’Connor, a former legislative director to ex-Rep. William Goodling (R-Pa.), are lobbying to get money for forest counties and schools as part of the continuing resolution or a second economic stimulus package, Senate lobbying records show.

Cedar Rapids, Iowa, which suffered from devastating floods this summer, hired Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal to lobby for supplemental appropriations and disaster relief money, according to lobbying records.

• ENERGY. Chevron USA hired Dow Lohnes Government Strategies to lobby on oil and gas tax issues and on climate change legislation. The lobbying team includes Peter Leon, a former legislative director to Rep. Eliot Engel (D-N.Y.); Eric Kessler, a former chief of staff to Rep. John Dingell (D-Mich.); and Stephen Sayle, a former counsel on the House Energy and Commerce Committee, Senate lobbying records show.

The Western Business Roundtable hired ROQ Strategies to lobby on energy and land use issues.

• FINANCIAL SERVICES. Barbour Griffith & Rogers is lobbying for Primerica Financial Services. BGR’s Daniel Murphy, former chief of staff at the Housing and Urban Development Department, and Brant Imperatore, a former senior counsel to the House Banking Committee, are lobbying on behalf of Primerica on housing issues, federal lobbying records show.

Loews Corp. hired Clark Lytle & Geduldig to lobby on accounting issues. Steve Clark, Gary Lytle, and Sam Geduldig, former senior adviser to House Minority Whip Roy Blunt (R-Mo.), are lobbying on behalf of Loews.

• LABOR. The Service Employees International Union hired B. Sacklin & Associates to lobby on a child nutrition bill, according to Senate lobbying records.

• MANUFACTURING. The National Association of Trailer Manufacturers hired K&L Gates to lobby on issues relating to the manufacture of light- and mid-duty trailers, Senate lobbying records show.

• TAXES. Expedia hired Gage to lobby on “state and municipal taxation concerns,” lobbying records show.

PricewaterhouseCoopers is lobbying for FedEx on the Streamlined Sales Tax Simplification Act.
