• DEFENSE. Ian Pfeiffer Government Relations is lobbying for Advanced Distributed Sensor Systems on defense appropriations and authorization bills. Pfeiffer is a former legislative director to Rep. Bob Filner (D-Calif.).

• HIGHER EDUCATION. Holy Family University hired Cassidy & Associates to lobby on the economic stimulus package Democratic leaders plan to write next Congress.
• LOCAL GOVERNMENT. Oakdale, Minn., hired Lockridge Grindal Nauen to lobby for federal appropriations, Senate lobbying records show.
• PARKS. The Ferguson Group is lobbying for the National Recreation and Park Association on issues relating to appropriations, the federal highway bill and the land and water conservation fund.
• TRIBES. Anderson Tuell is lobbying for the Apache Tribe of Oklahoma, lobbying records show.
