K Street shop bolsters ties to Senate Dems

K Street’s Alpine Group has landed a pair of Capitol Hill aides with ties to Senate Democrats.

Lauren Bazel has joined the firm as a vice president. Bazel will help expand Alpine’s practice in tax, trade and finance policy.

Sheila Kennett joined Alpine as its director of operations and client services. Kennett was director of scheduling and operations for Sen. Judd Gregg (R-N.H.). She also was director of member services at The Health Management Academy.

Alpine Group has made more than $7.8 million in lobbying fees for the first three quarters of 2013, according to the Center for Responsive Politics. BP, Duke Energy, Ford Motor Company and Nike are among Alpine’s corporate clients.
