Rosenker joins GM in communications leadership

By Rachel Leven - 04/26/12 04:01 PM ET

Heather Rosenker will be the director of public policy and government relations communications for General Motors starting May 1, the company announced Thursday.

Rosenker joins General Motors with Hill, administration and private sector experience. She recently worked for Fleishman-Hillard as senior vice president.

She worked in the Bush administration before that as the Homeland Security Department assistant director of public affairs. Rosenker also worked for the Internal Revenue Service as the director of communications of the Small Business/Self-Employed division.

Rosenker has White House experience, too, when she worked as “press advance” from 1984 to 1990. Prior to that, she was a press secretary on the New Jersey Reagan-Bush ’84 Campaign & Presidential Inaugural Committee.
