• AGRICULTURE. Dykema Gossett has been hired by Little Caesar Enterprises Inc., the pizza restaurant chain, to lobby on “Menu labeling. Tax credits for small businesses (bonus depreciation, Work Opportunity Tax Credit). Oppose supply management regulations in dairy industry,” according to lobbying disclosure records. Mary Beth McGowan, once a legislative assistant to ex-Sen. Arlen Specter (D-Pa.), and Andrew Buczek, former legislative assistant to then-Rep. Jim Barcia (D-Mich.), are lobbying for the company.

 • DEFENSE. Stapleton & Associates has been hired by MBDA Inc., an Arlington, Va.-based missile developer and supplier, to lobby on “missile issues that include the research, development, testing and evaluation of missile systems,” according to lobbying disclosure records.

• FINANCIAL SERVICES. Nixon Peabody has been hired by Goldman Sachs to lobby on “financial services regulatory and tax issues,” according to lobbying disclosure records. Former Rep. Tom Reynolds (R-N.Y.) and Sally Vastola, once Reynolds’s chief of staff and a former executive director for the National Republican Congressional Committee, are lobbying for the company.

• TELECOMMUNICATIONS. Capstone Counsel Group has been hired by Comcast Corp. to lobby on “media and telecommunications issues,” according to lobbying disclosure records. Waldo McMillan, a former aide to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.), is lobbying for the company.

• TRANSPORTATION. Borski Associates has been hired by the Delaware River Waterfront Corp. to lobby on “issues associated with trails, transit, open space and riverfront development,” according to lobbying disclosure records. Former Rep. Robert Borski (D-Pa.) is lobbying for the corporation.

McBee Strategic Consulting has been hired by the City of Burlen, Wash., to lobby on “implementation of Section 822 of PL 112-95,” according to lobbying disclosure records. Jeff Markey, former deputy chief of staff to Rep. Doc Hastings (R-Wash.), and Samuel Whitehorn, once deputy staff director and general counsel to the Senate Commerce Committee, are lobbying for the city government.

Patton Boggs has been hired by the Allegheny County Economic Development Authority to lobby on “aviation and transportation issues,” according to lobbying disclosure records. Rodney Slater, once Transportation secretary during the Clinton administration, is lobbying for the authority.
