The Duberstein Group is lobbying for Estee Lauder Companies Inc. on “federal regulation of cosmetics” and “corporate tax reform, including international tax provisions,” according to lobbying disclosure records. Among the four lobbyists on the account are Brian Griffin, a former senior leadership adviser to Sen. Byron Dorgan (D-N.D.); and Kenneth Duberstein, the CEO of the Duberstein Group and a former chief of staff to President Reagan.
•HEALTHCARE. Liberty Square Group is lobbying for DDC Advocacy on behalf of PhRMA/We Work For Health regarding “various issues related to healthcare, biopharmaceuticals, life sciences and U.S. healthcare reform.” Conor Yunits, the former director of communications for the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce, is lobbying for the group.
Kelley Drye & Warren LLP has been hired by General Motors to lobby on “all issues related to the automotive industry, including tax and trade issues as they relate to General Motors Co.” Greg Mastel, a former chief of staff to Sen. Max Baucus (D-Mont.) and chief economist for the Senate Finance Committee, is lobbying for the company.
• TECHNOLOGY. Sandi Stuart/The Stuart Murray Group is lobbying for Google Inc. to “monitor legislation as it relates to client.” Sandra Stuart, who served the House Appropriations Committee for 18 years, is lobbying on the account.
The Glover Park Group is lobbying for Cisco Systems Inc. regarding “federal policy surrounding telecommunication and broadband networks.” Gregg Rothschild, the managing director of the firm and former legislative director for Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.), is lobbying for the company.
• DEFENSE. The Consilio Group has been hired by Williams Aerospace to lobby the federal government regarding “government funding [and] legislation in support of unmanned aerial vehicles.” Oliver Meissner, the founder of the firm, is the sole lobbyist on the account.
