• Eugene Swanzey and Dennis Rasmussen have joined Total Spectrum LLC as partners at the firm. Swanzey has spent most of his career in the private sector at the Chase Manhattan Banking Corp. Most recently, he worked as the vice president and director of government affairs and “participated in the repeal of interstate banking restrictions, the increase of services and product expansion and the resolution of Third World debt.” Rasmussen has served on numerous boards, invested and developed businesses “involving information, alternative energy, real estate, and has an extensive lobbying and consulting practice at the federal, state and local levels.” In the public sector, he served as Baltimore County executive and worked as a member of the Maryland Senate.
• Elizabeth Gasster has been named the vice president of Information & Technology and Regulatory Reform for the Business Roundtable (BRT), where she will “oversee all BRT policy initiatives in the information and technology and regulatory reform areas, helping to shape and advance BRT member companies’ priorities.” Before that, she served as senior policy counselor for the past five years at the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN). Before that, Gasster held many senior positions at AT&T.
• Kimberly Case and Beth Vecchioli have joined Holland & Knight’s Florida Government Advocacy Team as senior policy advisers in the firm’s Tallahassee office. Case most recently worked as the legislative affairs director and policy adviser for Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi and former Florida Attorney General Bill McCollum. Before coming to Holland & Knight, Vecchioli worked as a government consultant with Carlton Fields, “representing insurance and financial services clients before the Florida legislative and executive branches.”
