•Tony Podesta and Bob Livingston announced a new joint venture, PLM Group, between the lobbying and public-affairs firms the Podesta Group and The Livingston Group.
•Heather Urban has joined the Podesta Group as a principal in the firm’s lobbying practice. •Rachel Robinson has joined the American International Automobile Dealers Association as vice president of government relations. Most recently, Robinson served as chief of staff to Rep. Deborah Pryce (R-Ohio), the chairwoman of the House Republican Conference. She was a lobbyist for the Securities Industry Association and served as director of Speaker operations for former House Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-Ga.).
•Marc-Anthony Signorino has joined the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) as director of technology policy. He previously headed up technology and environmental policy for AeA, formerly known as the American Electronics Association. In 2000, he helped launch eBay’s Washington office.
•Jonathan Banks, a veteran of the communications industry, has joined the United States Telecom Association as general counsel. Banks comes from BellSouth, where he served as a lobbyist and as general counsel in the firm’s Washington office.
•Michael J. Correia was named the new director of federal affairs at the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC). He comes from Capitol Hill, where he served for nearly 10 years on the staff of the House Committee on Resources.
•Kathy Gerber has joined Widmeyer Communications as a senior associate in the healthcare practice. She has served in senior account positions for several New York public-relations agencies.
