•Doug Goudie was named director of international trade policy at the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM). Goudie comes from the Automotive Trade Policy Council (ATPC), where he served as the association’s chief lobbyist for the past eight years.
•Martin A. Corry has joined law and lobbying firm Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney as director of federal health policy. He most recently served as the special assistant to the administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). The firm also announced the addition of Bethany A. Noble and David A. Aimone, who joined in January as director and assistant director of federal procurement, respectively.
•Anne W. Brady has joined the National Association of Broadcasters as vice president of the trade group’s political action committee. She most recently served as the deputy western finance director for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.
•Terrence M. O’Connell has joined Carmen Group as managing director of the defense projects practice. A decorated and service-disabled Vietnam veteran, O’Connell most recently served as president of Davis O’Connell, a defense and homeland security consultancy.
•Craig Cussimanio has joined NAM as the director of Internet strategies. Most recently, Cussimanio oversaw Web design and e-commerce initiatives at the American Gas Association.
•Barbara C. Higgens, the executive director of the Plumbing Manufacturers Institute, was elected vice chairman of the Council of Manufacturing Associations, a division of NAM. She will serve a one-year term.
•Patricia McDermott, legislative counsel to the Joint Committee on Taxation, has joined Venable LLP as partner in the firm’s employee benefits practice.
