Rick Perry to meet with Trump: report

Perry, who briefly ran for president this cycle, is reportedly under consideration to be secretary of Defense in Trump's Cabinet.

Trump spent the weekend meeting with various figures he is considering for Cabinet positions, including Mitt Romney for secretary of State and retired Marine Gen. James Mattis for secretary of Defense.

Last week, it was reported that Perry was a potential candidate to head the Department of Energy — the same agency he infamously forgot when asked, during a Republican primary debate in 2011, to name the three agencies he would do away with if elected.
