•HOUSING. Cypress Advocacy is lobbying for Cypress Realty Partners on affordable housing issues. Those registered by Cypress include Patrick Cave, a former acting assistant secretary at the Department of Treasury.

Conkling Fiskum and McCormick has been registered to lobby for several communities in Washington state that hope to win federal funding for urban development, transportation and criminal justice projects. Alison Burkett, Kate Cusack, Daniel Jarman and Joel Rubin are registered to lobby for the Washington cities of Battle Ground, Lacey and Longview, according to Senate records.

The Rich Feuer Group has been registered to lobby for Fannie Mae Corporation on legislation related to government-sponsored housing enterprises. •LEGAL SERVICES. Dickstein Shapiro LLP has been registered to lobby on proposed Federal Trade Commission rules related to marketing practices for Pre-Paid Legal Services, an Oklahoma-based company that markets such services. Margaret Feinstein is registered to lobby on the issue by Dickstein Shapiro.

•TAXES. David Hobbs, a former assistant to the president for legislative affairs, has been registered by the Hobbs Group to lobby for West Penn Allegheny Health System of Pittsburgh. According to Senate records, Hobbs will be lobbying on IRS rules relating to tax-exempt financing by non-profit hospitals.

•TRADE. Capitol Hill Strategies has been registered by The Business Roundtable to lobby on free-trade deals with Peru, Panama and Colombia. Charles Brain is registered to lobby on the deals, according to Senate records.
