•AGRICULTURE: Lesher & Russel has been hired by the Meat and Poultry Promotion Coalition to lobby on issues affecting those industries in the 2007 farm bill. Andrew Harker, William Lesher, Tyson Redpath and Randall Russell are listed by Lesher & Russell as lobbyists for the coalition.

The Utah energy firm Headwaters Inc. has hired the Federal Policy Group to lobby on energy tax issues. James Carlisle, Tim Hanford, Kenneth Kies and Pat Raffaniello are listed as lobbyists in a filing with the Senate Office of Public Records.

•HEALTHCARE: Alpine Group Inc. has registered to lobby for Coventry Health Care Inc. According to filings with the Senate, James Hawkins of Alpine will lobby on implementation of changes to the Medicare Modernization Act.
Hogan and Hartson has registered to lobby for the American Art Therapy Association. According to Senate records, the firm will be lobbying to secure federal funding to support the study of the benefits of using art therapy in treating veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder. Michael Gilliland, John Edward Porter and Kate McAuliffe Smith are listed as lobbyists, according to Senate records.

•LABOR: Former House Appropriations Committee Communications Director John Scofield of the Podesta Group has been listed as a lobbyist for Cintas, which designs, manufactures and implements corporate identity uniform programs. Other lobbyists listed include Paul Brathwaite, a former executive director of the Congressional Black Caucus.

•TAX: Corporate Voices for Working Families has hired Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal LLP to lobby on tax issues. The firm listed Mathew Lapinski, Todd Weiss and Michael Zolandz as lobbyists.
