Schumer’s comment, made during remarks on the Senate floor Thursday morning, was flagged by HuffPost senior politics editor Jennifer Bendery.

Schumer rarely does interviews on Fox News. His last one, with Chris Wallace on "Fox News Sunday,” took place on April 30. 

Schumer's change in morning viewing habits comes as a bipartisan relationship appears to have been forged by Trump and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) this week. 

The president has made breakthrough negotiations with Democratic leaders Schumer and Pelosi twice in the past month — first on the debt ceiling and now on the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.
