Blank Rome is lobbying for Alaska Ship and Drydock on an issue relating to the Jones Act, which requires goods transported by water between U.S. ports to be carried in U.S.-flag ships and crewed by U.S. citizens. Duncan Smith, a former chief counsel to the House Merchant Marine and Fisheries Committee, and C.J. Zane, a former chief of staff to Rep. Don Young (R-Alaska), are lobbying for the shipbuilding and repair company.

• TRADE. Hogan & Hartson is lobbying for Union Apparel on amending the Central American Free Trade Agreement, federal lobbying records show.
