• HEALTHCARE. Alston & Bird has been hired by McKesson Corp., a San Francisco-based healthcare services company, to lobby on “provision of pharmaceutical services to the federal government,” according to disclosure records. Former Sen. Bob Dole (R-Kan.) and Robert C. Jones, former counsel to Sen. Barbara Mikulski (D-Md.), are lobbying for the company.
• TELECOMMUNICATIONS. Motorola Mobility Inc. has hired the Stanton Park Group to lobby on “all Vid mandate, FM Chip mandate, spectrum, patent reform,” according to lobbying disclosure records. Valerie Henry, former legislative aide to Sen. Mike Crapo (R-Idaho), is lobbying for the company.
• TRANSPORTATION. The Bennett Consulting Group has been hired by the Utah State Department of Transportation to lobby on transportation issues, according to lobbying disclosure records. Michael Lee, a former legislative assistant to ex-Sen. Bob Bennett (R-Utah), and Tim Stewart, former staff director to the House Natural Resources Committee, are lobbying for the state agency.
The Glover Park Group has been hired by Open Allies for Airfare Transparency, a travel industry coalition that advocates for disclosure of airline ancillary fees, to lobby on “FAA reauthorization and airline ancillary fee disclosure,” according to lobbying disclosure records. Gregg Rothschild, former legislative director to Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.), and Grant Leslie, once senior adviser to Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack, are lobbying for the coalition.
Ogilvy Government Relations has been hired by Cirrus Aircraft Corp., a Duluth, Minn., aircraft manufacturer, to lobby on “aviation issues,” according to lobbying disclosure forms. Dean Aguillen, a former adviser to House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), and Drew Maloney, former legislative director to ex-Rep. Tom DeLay (R-Texas), are lobbying for the company.
