• DEFENSE. The Livingston Group has been hired by the California Motorized Recreation Council to lobby on “Marine Corps land acquisition,” according to lobbying disclosure records. Former Rep. Bob Livingston (R-La.) and J. Allen Martin, Livingston’s former chief of staff, are lobbying for the group. 

• EDUCATION. Cozen O’Connor Public Strategies has been hired by ECPI University to lobby on “issues related to veterans and active-duty military education benefits,” according to lobbying disclosure records. Robert Freeman, former deputy staff director of the Senate Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee for Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), is lobbying for the school.

• iMMIGRATION. C2 Group has been hired by Indiana EB5 to lobby on the “EB5 Visa Program,” according to lobbying disclosure records. D. Patrick Robertson, deputy chief of staff to Sen. Jay Rockefeller (D-W.Va.), is lobbying for the group. 

• TAX. Elmendorf-Ryan has been hired by General Electric to lobby on “issues and legislation related to taxes,” according to lobbying disclosure records. Steve Elmendorf, former chief of staff to House Democratic Leader Richard Gephardt (Mo.), and Jimmy Ryan, once chief counsel and floor policy director to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.), are lobbying for the company. 

• TECHNOLOGY.  Williams and Jensen has been hired by Info Tech Inc., a Gainesville, Fla.-based software development company, to lobby on “federal funding and contracting opportunities budget and appropriations transportation reauthorization,” according to lobbying disclosure records. Jenny DiJames, former legislative director to Rep. Bud Cramer (D-Ala.), and Michael Beer, once a legislative aide to Rep. Dave Hobson (R-Ohio), are lobbying for the company. 

McGuireWoods Consulting has been hired by Cisco Systems Inc. for “advocating measures to enhance and strengthen cybersecurity,” according to lobbying disclosure records. Former Rep. L.F. Payne (D-Va.) and Mona Mohib, former associate director for the Office of Intergovernmental Affairs in the Clinton White House, are lobbying for the company.
