• ENERGY. The Battery Electric Vehicle Coalition has hired Cozen O’Connor Public Strategies to lobby on tax credits for electric vehicles, renewable fuels standards and allowances under cap-and-trade legislation, among other issues. 

Chesapeake Energy Corp. has hired the Duberstein Group to lobby on “energy production and energy-related bills,” according to lobbying disclosure records. Brian Griffin, a former senior leadership adviser to Sen. Byron Dorgan (D-N.D.), and Steven Champlin, once executive director to the House Democratic Caucus, are lobbying for the company. 

• FINANCIAL SERVICES. JP Morgan Chase Bank has hired Fierce, Isakowitz & Blalock to lobby on “mortgage market tax extenders free trade agent,” according to lobbying disclosure records. • TECHNOLOGY. The Glover Park Group has been hired by Expedia Inc. to lobby on “competition in the market for online travel search,” according to lobbying disclosure records. Jack Krumholtz, Microsoft’s former chief lobbyist, is lobbying for the company.
