•  Colin Robertson has joined McKenna Long & Aldridge as a senior strategic adviser and an independent consultant. Robertson was minister and head of the advocacy secretariat at the Canadian Embassy in Washington. He also served as consul general of Canada in Los Angeles.

•  Ryan Trainer has been appointed president of the International Sleep Products Association. Trainer had been the group’s executive vice president. He previously worked at the Commerce Department and at the Clifford Chance and Rogers & Wells law firms.

• David Degennaro is joining the Environmental Working Group as a legislative and policy analyst. He is now a senior legislative assistant to Rep. Ron Kind (D-Wis.).

•  Jon Retzlaff has been hired as the managing director of science policy and government affairs for the American Association for Cancer Research. Retzlaff most recently worked in government relations for Lewis-Burke Associates. He previously was legislative director for the Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology.
