Clinton camp: ‘On track’ to raise $10 million in 24 hours
Posted: 04/23/08 03:42 PM [ET]
Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton's (D-N.Y.) campaign said Wednesday afternoon it was “on track” to raise $10 million in online donations in the 24 hours since the Pennsylvania primary was called in her favor.

Terry McAuliffe, Clinton’s campaign chairman, called the result “game-changing,” adding that the amount was a “historic outpouring of grassroots support.”

“Just like Hillary, our supporters have met every challenge and come through each time,” McAuliffe said in a statement. “Thanks to them, we will have the resources needed to compete and win as we move ahead to the next contests.”

The campaign said it had received donations from 60,000 donors, 50,000 of whom were new donors.
