Obama supporter says race against Clinton is over
Posted: 05/13/08 11:16 AM [ET]
A former Democratic National Committee chairman said Tuesday that the race for the Democratic nomination is over and that Sen. Barack Obama (Ill.) is the winner.

Roy Romer, who was also a governor of Colorado, said on a conference call arranged by the Obama campaign that Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (N.Y.) cannot realistically win the nomination.

“The math is controlling,” Romer said after announcing his endorsement of Obama. “This race, I believe, is over.”
