Romney contributes to own campaign
Posted: 06/25/07 04:26 PM [ET]
Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney’s (R) second-quarter fundraising report will show that the presidential candidate again dipped into his personal wealth to supplement donations, his campaign confirmed Monday.

The campaign declined to say how much the former governor would give to his campaign. In the first quarter, Romney made available about $2.3 million to his campaign coffers.

The former governor shocked the political world when the first-quarter numbers were released, showing a total of about $23 million raised. That amount included the personal funds he used.

The second-quarter fundraising period ends June 30.
