Rep. Honda hosts Einstein fellow: Rep. Mike Honda (D-Calif.) will be hosting another Einstein fellow, the fourth for the office — Eduardo Guevara. Guevara has a Ph.D. in educational administration, policy and leadership from the University of South Carolina, a master’s from Auburn University in fisheries and allied cultures and a B.S. in biology from the Universidad del Valle in Cali, Colombia.

Guevara is coming from Houston, where he taught integrated physics and chemistry at Cesar Chavez High School among primarily English language-learning populations.

Global energy company hires new senior vice president: Global energy company USEC Inc. announced in late August that Christine M. Ciccone was appointed senior vice president of external relations. In her new position, Ciccone will lead the company’s public policy efforts with U.S. government, media and other external stakeholders. She also will develop strategic communication plans throughout the company.

Before joining USEC, Ciccone served as a legislative assistant to Sen. Warren Rudman (R-N.H.) and assistant staff director and general counsel for the Senate Appropriations Committee.
