What's on your nightstand? (Rep. Ray LaHood (R-Ill.))

By Betsy Rothstein - 03/28/07 03:07 PM ET
What are you reading right now?
Ken Venturi’s autobiography [Getting Up & Down: My 60 Years in Golf]. I have a little Bible and I have a couple of Hill newspapers. I also have my TV clicker and my clock radio.

What magazines do you read regularly?
People, Time, Newsweek.

What is your favorite work of fiction?
I don’t read fiction books. I don’t have time to read, so I listen to books on tape. I find it’s the only way I can get through a book.

Have you ever belonged to Oprah’s book club?
No.

What’s your guilty-pleasure reading?
I might peek at the Star. I don’t have time for that. No National Enquirer pangs.
