Caf' 15: Classic French fare on 15th Street

When I think of memorable restaurants I have eaten at, they’re usually far from the nation’s capital: Lutece in New York, Peter Luger’s in Brooklyn, Galatoire’s in New Orleans, Chez Panisse in Berkeley, Taillevent in Paris, Harry’s Bar in Venice, the Inn at Little Washington, to name a few.

But I may have to add one more to my personal dining pantheon, and it’s literally just across the street from me in the elegant new Sofitel Lafayette Square hotel at 15th and H sts. N.W.

Rating:

Food: 9 Ambiance: 10
Service: 5 Price/Value: 7

I say “may” because the modestly named Caf
