Chef Geoff’s has new beer offerings
Chef Geoff’s has added 12 new beers to a list that already includes 24 on tap and another 24 available by the bottle. 

The restaurant has daily happy-hour specials (recently featured on NBC’s “Today” show) available from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday at the bar and all day Monday and Tuesday. Beers on tap include Boddingtons ale, Smithwick’s ale, Rogue Dead Guy ale, Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA, Tuppers’ Hop Pocket ale and Magic Hat 9.

Take a wine class at the French Embassy
The French Wine Society and the Society of Wine Educators (SWE) are offering a series of classes on French wine.

The May 22 class will focus on the Champagne region. The class is from 6:45 to 8:15 p.m. at 4101 Reservoir Road N.W.

Mushroom wine dinner at Jaleo Downtown
Join Jaleo downtown location for a mushroom wine dinner May 22 at 7:30 p.m.

The menu will feature a selection of Spanish-inspired mushroom dishes paired with Spanish wines. A booklet of mushroom recipes, as well as part of the dinner offering, will be available. Sample daily mushroom specials and leave with recipe cards to try the recipes at home. The meal costs $75 per person.
