‘Whiskey Rebellion’ at Firefly

Beginning this week, Firefly in Dupont Circle will pour featured whiskeys at a reduced price during a “reverse happy hour” from 10:30 to last call, Monday through Friday.

Each whiskey will be offered in 1- or 2-ounce pours. On Monday, it’s Famous Grouse scotch; Tuesdays bring Highland Park 12-year-old single malt; Wednesdays Red Breast 12-year Irish whiskey, Thursdays Basil Hayden 8-year bourbon and Fridays Russell’s Reserve 10-year bourbon.

Prices range from $3.25 to $5.75 for the 1-ounce taste and $6.50 to 11.50 for 2 ounces. A sample flight of three is $13.50.

Firefly manager Derek Brown has also developed five new cocktails for the fall season. The spiced chocolate martini ($11) blends Ketel One vodka, Caf
