Bikini babe draws a crowd despite downpour

By Christina Wilkie - 07/14/10 08:09 PM ET

Capitol Hill staffers braved a driving rain on Wednesday afternoon outside the Rayburn building to stand in line for veggie dogs. Of course, it didn’t hurt that they were being served by a bikini-clad Playboy model.

Vida Guerra, a Cuban-born model and singer, teamed up with People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals to celebrate National Veggie-Dog Day by giving out free meatless hotdogs to hungry congressional staffers.

Sporting a string bikini covered with real chili peppers and a well-placed tattoo, Guerra, a vegetarian, encouraged lunch recipients to give up meat.

Guerra even got some love from the only Cuban-American in Congress, Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-Fla.), who chatted in Spanish with the celeb from underneath a blue umbrella before taking her veggie dog back to the office.
