Palin’s new flick gets flack

By Christina Wilkie - 05/25/11 07:34 PM ET

Political circles were abuzz Wednesday with the news of Sarah Palin’s upcoming film, “The Undefeated,” a two-hour dramatic documentary that paints the former Alaska governor in a very positive light. The film will be launched in Iowa (ahem) later this year.

As for who will be doing the promotion and spinning PR for the project, that would be CRC Public Relations, which describes itself as the film industry’s leading conservative publicity firm.

The film’s producers, the suggestively named Victory Film Group, said CRC will do the talking and the booking for the flick.

But CRC’s new gig could prove to be more political than promotional. Those close to the project have fueled rumors that the film is a springboard for a possible 2012 presidential run for Palin.

The film’s director, Steve Bannon, characterized the film Wednesday as “a call to action for a campaign like 1976: Reagan vs. the establishment,” adding, “Let’s have a good old-fashioned brouhaha.”
