Fire destroys kitchen at popular Capitol Hill watering hole

The grease fire started in the restaurant’s kitchen at around 7:15 a.m., according to witnesses. The fire department broke through the restaurant’s front windows to contain the blaze.

A Tune Inn employee reported that the kitchen was “totally destroyed,” but the owner declined to comment on how long the restaurant would be closed as a result.

The Tune Inn was recently named one of the nation’s best bars by Esquire magazine.
