Huckabee gives few clues about Israel souvenirs

By Judy Kurtz - 07/20/11 06:32 PM ET

Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee (R) is playing coy about what gifts he has in store for the gang at “Fox & Friends.”

Huckabee returns Thursday from a trip to Israel, according to Fox, and made a promise on Monday to host Steve Doocy to pick out the perfect tchotchkes while he’s abroad.

When Doocy asked on-air what his plans were while he was in the Holy Land, Huckabee replied, “I’m also here to get some souvenirs for you and [co-hosts Brian Kilmeade and Molly Line]. And I’ll bring those home later on.”

Doocy and Huckabee then went on a souvenir spiel:

DOOCY: Now, listen, we can tell you when you just buy this stuff at the airport. You have to actually go into the — into the town itself and buy some stuff. No more I went ...

HUCKABEE: Well, there’s some great stuff to be had. Just send me your list, Steve, and I’ll promise to bring it back.

DOOCY: All right. Sure you will. All right.

When ITK checked in with the traveling Fox host to see what he would be buying for his friends at “Fox & Friends,” Huckabee said, “A little surprise! It will help them to pray better and to have more fun.”

Maybe ITK readers can help solve this mysterious souvenir saga. Send your guesses of what Huckabee is bringing back from Israel to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
